McGovern Delivers $1M+ to Build Senior Housing in Worcester

On Tuesday, May 5, Ranking Member Jim McGovern (D-MA) will host a press conference at the Worcester Senior Center to announce that he has secured $1,200,000 in federal funding to provide lead and asbestos remediation so that units of affordable, accessible housing for elderly adults can be developed. The site’s proximity to the Worcester Senior Center means that residents will have easy access to a variety of services such as congregate meals, exercise classes, lectures and other educational events, art classes, and health screenings. Following the press conference, the Congressman will join local leaders for a brief tour of the area impacted by the project.
