The visit will begin with a tour of La Sultana Market led by store leadership, highlighting the store’s role as a SNAP retailer in migrant and low-income communities, its culturally relevant and locally sourced food offerings, and its experience serving families who rely on nutrition assistance. Members will then convene a small roundtable discussion with families who use SNAP assistance to shop at La Sultana and other local food retailers, followed by a press conference.
