Video Description
Did you know there are over 33 million small businesses in the United States? They contribute to their communities, the global economy, and importantly — they help solve the world’s most pressing challenges. Earlier this year, Secretary Blinken visited Emma’s Torch in Washington, D.C., which helps uplift new refugees in the United States. Through culinary skills training and job placement support, Emma’s Torch equips recent arrivals to the U.S. with skills essential to the workforce — and helps them begin a new chapter of their lives. The work Emma’s Torch does exemplifies the best of America, with successive generations coming from somewhere else and becoming part of the story of our country and carrying it forward. Are you a small business owner? Learn about the Department's Direct Line program, which provides a unique opportunity for American businesses, particularly small- and medium-sized enterprises, to engage directly with U.S. ambassadors on investment and export opportunities overseas. https://state.gov/direct-line-for-american-business/ #ShopSmall
