Senate committee votes on wildfire, nuclear, & diesel emissions legislation

Two bills being considered today are the product of bipartisan cooperation. The other is not. These bipartisan bills will help prevent wildfires and meet nuclear fuel demands. The Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works holds a business meeting to consider the Wildfire Emissions Prevention Act of 2026, the Modernizing Outdated Regulations to Expand American Fuel Act of 2026, the Cold Weather Diesel Reliability Act of 2026, and 21 Committee Resolutions to approve prospectuses from the General Services Administration.
