Ranking Members Larson, Neal, Morelle to Call to Investigate ‘DOGE’ Data Theft from Social Security

House Ways and Means Social Security Subcommittee Ranking Member John B. Larson (CT-01), House Ways and Means Committee Ranking Member Richard E. Neal (MA-01), and Committee on House Administration Ranking Member Joe Morelle (NY-25) will call for next steps to respond to this week’s bombshell court filing, including a full Congressional investigation into the ‘DOGE’ effort to hand records over to an unnamed MAGA-aligned advocacy group seeking to overturn election results and use of a private server to trade confidential Social Security records. Given the new revelations, they will also call on the courts to take action and revisit decisions that allowed ‘DOGE’ unfettered access to Social Security records while a court challenge is considered.
