WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas), chairman of the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, will convene a hearing to consider nominations for the National Transportation Safety Board, the U.S. Department of Transportation, the Surface Transportation Board, and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission at 10:00 AM ET on Wednesday, June 24, 2026. Nominees: Mr. Thomas B. Chapman, of Maryland, to be a Member of the National Transportation Safety Board Mr. Edward Eppler, of Connecticut, to be Chief Financial Officer of the U.S. Department of Transportation Ms. Karen Jean Hedlund, of New York, to be a Member of the Surface Transportation Board Mr. Brien Lorenze, of Virginia, to be a Commissioner of the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission Ms. Karen Sessions, of Texas, to be a Commissioner of the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission
