Summary of Bill S 466
Bill 119 s 466, also known as the "Child's Insurance Benefits Improvement Act," aims to make changes to title II of the Social Security Act. Specifically, the bill seeks to raise the age threshold for eligibility for child's insurance benefits based on disability.
Currently, children who are disabled can receive insurance benefits through the Social Security Act until they reach the age of 18. However, this bill proposes to increase the age threshold, allowing disabled children to continue receiving benefits until they reach a higher age.
The purpose of this amendment is to provide additional support and financial assistance to disabled children who may still require assistance beyond the age of 18. By extending the age threshold for eligibility, the bill aims to ensure that disabled children have access to the necessary resources and support as they transition into adulthood. Overall, Bill 119 s 466 seeks to improve the child's insurance benefits program under the Social Security Act by increasing the age threshold for eligibility for disabled children. This change is intended to provide greater financial security and support for disabled children and their families.
