Summary of Bill HRES 175
Bill 119 H.Res. 175, also known as the Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) Awareness Month Resolution, is a piece of legislation introduced in the US Congress to recognize the seriousness of PCOS and express support for designating the month of September as "PCOS Awareness Month."
PCOS is a common hormonal disorder that affects women of reproductive age, causing symptoms such as irregular periods, excessive hair growth, and infertility. It is estimated that up to 10% of women may have PCOS, making it a significant health issue that often goes undiagnosed.
The resolution aims to raise awareness about PCOS and its impact on women's health, as well as the need for more research and resources to support those affected by the condition. By designating September as "PCOS Awareness Month," the bill seeks to bring attention to this often overlooked health issue and encourage education and advocacy efforts to improve diagnosis and treatment options for individuals with PCOS. Overall, Bill 119 H.Res. 175 highlights the importance of recognizing and addressing PCOS as a serious health concern, and calls for increased awareness and support for those affected by the condition.

I don't get why this bill is important. I never heard of this PCOS thing before, so why should I care about it? It's just a waste of time and money to make a whole month about it. I have better things to worry about than some random syndrome. This is dumb.
