3/1/2025, 4:38 AM
Summary of Bill HR 898
Bill 119 hr 898, also known as the Aircraft Noise and Emissions Mitigation Act, aims to address the issue of aircraft and airport noise and emissions by establishing pilot grant programs through the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). These programs will focus on researching and collecting data on the impact of aircraft and airport noise and emissions on communities near airports.
The goal of these pilot programs is to gather information that can be used to develop effective mitigation strategies to reduce the negative effects of aircraft and airport noise and emissions on the environment and public health. The bill also includes provisions for using the data collected to inform decision-making and policy development related to aircraft and airport operations.
Overall, the Aircraft Noise and Emissions Mitigation Act seeks to promote research, data collection, and collaboration between the EPA, airports, and communities to address the environmental and health impacts of aircraft and airport noise and emissions.

I don't know much about this bill, but it sounds like it's gonna help with all that noise and pollution from airplanes. I live near an airport and it's always so loud and smelly, so hopefully this bill will make a difference. I'm all for anything that can make my neighborhood quieter and cleaner. Hopefully this bill will have some positive long term effects for all of us.
