4/3/2025, 1:59 PM
Summary of Bill HR 2192
Bill 119 HR 2192, also known as the Air America Act, aims to provide financial compensation to employees of Air America who supported the United States during the years 1950 to 1976. Air America was a covert airline owned by the CIA that operated in Southeast Asia during the Vietnam War and Cold War era.
The bill recognizes the sacrifices and contributions made by these employees in service to the United States government. It seeks to award payments to these individuals as a form of recognition for their efforts and dedication during a critical period in American history.
In addition to providing financial compensation, the bill also includes provisions for other purposes related to the welfare and support of Air America employees. This may include access to healthcare benefits, counseling services, or other forms of assistance to help these individuals in their later years. Overall, the Air America Act is a bipartisan effort to honor and support the men and women who served their country through their work with Air America. It acknowledges their important role in American history and seeks to provide them with the recognition and assistance they deserve.
