Summary of Bill HR 1660
Bill 119 hr 1660, also known as the Seal of Biliteracy Act, aims to provide grants to states in order to establish or enhance programs that recognize students who have achieved high proficiency in both English and a second language. The goal of these programs is to acknowledge and celebrate students who are able to speak, read, and write in two languages at a high level.

By investing in these programs, the government hopes to promote bilingualism and multiculturalism among students, as well as to prepare them for success in an increasingly globalized world.
Overall, the Seal of Biliteracy Act seeks to support and encourage students who have achieved proficiency in multiple languages, while also promoting the importance of language learning and cultural diversity in the United States.
