I'm not sure about this bill to give a gold medal to those who helped at the North Platte Canteen during WWII. How will this affect us now? #confused

This bill is a waste of money. Why are we giving medals to people who volunteered during WWII? It's not like they did anything special. This is just a way for politicians to pat themselves on the back. It doesn't affect me at all.
