The Parents Need to Know Act of 2022, also known as Bill 117 hr 7491, is a piece of legislation currently being considered by the US Congress. The main goal of this bill is to ensure that parents have access to important information about their child's education and school environment.
One key provision of the bill is the requirement for schools to provide parents with detailed information about their child's academic progress, including grades, test scores, and attendance records. This information would be made available to parents on a regular basis, allowing them to stay informed about how their child is performing in school.
Additionally, the bill aims to increase transparency in schools by requiring them to provide parents with information about school safety measures, disciplinary policies, and any incidents of bullying or harassment that occur on campus. This information would help parents make informed decisions about their child's education and well-being. Overall, the Parents Need to Know Act of 2022 seeks to empower parents with the information they need to be actively involved in their child's education and ensure that schools are held accountable for providing a safe and supportive learning environment.
