Summary of Bill HR 7961
The SAVE Act, also known as Bill 117 hr 7961, is a piece of legislation introduced in the US Congress with the aim of enhancing the security and integrity of the United States immigration system. The bill focuses on several key areas related to immigration policy.
One of the main provisions of the SAVE Act is the implementation of a mandatory employment verification system for all employers in the United States. This system would require employers to verify the immigration status of all employees through the use of a secure and reliable database. This is intended to prevent the hiring of undocumented immigrants and ensure that only those who are legally authorized to work in the US are employed.
Additionally, the SAVE Act includes measures to strengthen border security, such as increasing funding for border patrol agents and technology, as well as improving infrastructure along the US-Mexico border. The bill also calls for the implementation of measures to crack down on visa overstays and enhance cooperation with other countries to facilitate the removal of individuals who have violated US immigration laws. Overall, the SAVE Act aims to address various issues related to immigration enforcement and border security in order to protect the interests of American citizens and ensure the integrity of the US immigration system. The bill has garnered support from lawmakers who believe that these measures are necessary to address the challenges posed by illegal immigration and enhance national security.
