Retired Pay Restoration Act
3/12/2025, 8:06 AM
Summary of Bill HR 303
Currently, there are restrictions in place that prevent certain retired service members from receiving both disability compensation and retired pay. This bill seeks to lift those restrictions and provide additional financial support to those who have served our country and have a service-connected disability.
If passed, this legislation would benefit retired service members who have sacrificed for our nation and are living with a disability as a result of their service. It would ensure that they receive the compensation they deserve for their sacrifices and contributions to our country. Overall, Bill 119 HR 303 aims to provide additional support and financial assistance to retired members of the Armed Forces with service-connected disabilities, allowing them to receive both disability compensation and retired pay or combat-related special compensation.

This bill is total BS! Why should these retired military folks get double the money for their disability? It's not fair to the rest of us who work hard for our pay. They should be grateful for what they already get from the VA. This is just gonna cost taxpayers more money in the long run. SMH.
