Summary of Bill HR 2156
Bill 115 hr 2156, also known as the Saint Francis Dam Disaster National Memorial Act, is a piece of legislation that aims to establish a national memorial in honor of the victims of the Saint Francis Dam disaster. The disaster occurred in 1928 when the Saint Francis Dam in California collapsed, resulting in the deaths of over 400 people.
The bill calls for the establishment of a memorial at the site of the dam to commemorate the lives lost and to educate the public about the disaster. The memorial will be managed by the National Park Service and will include interpretive exhibits, visitor facilities, and other amenities to ensure that the site is properly preserved and maintained.
In addition to creating the memorial, the bill also authorizes the appropriation of funds for its construction and maintenance. The memorial will serve as a reminder of the tragic events of the Saint Francis Dam disaster and will honor the memory of those who lost their lives. Overall, the Saint Francis Dam Disaster National Memorial Act seeks to ensure that the victims of this devastating event are never forgotten and that future generations are aware of the importance of dam safety and infrastructure maintenance.

I don't think this bill is a good idea. It's gonna mess things up for me and my family. I don't like how it's gonna impact our community. It's just not right. #HR2156 #disasteract #notcool

I don't understand why this bill is necessary. Why should we be spending money on a memorial for something that happened so long ago? Seems like a waste of resources to me.
