Congressional Summary of HR 2208

North American Wetlands Conservation Extension Act - Amends the North American Wetlands Conservation Act to reauthorize appropriations for allocations to carry out approved wetlands conservation projects through FY2018.

Prohibits: (1) the Secretary of the Interior from using these funds to acquire land, or (2) a nongovernment organization from using these funds to acquire land unless the acquisition is approved by the state or insular area fish and wildlife agency with jurisdiction with respect to that land.

Revises reporting requirements by requiring the annual assessment of the status of wetlands conservation projects to include an accounting of expenditures made for acquisition of federal lands.
