I don't understand why we have to keep doing this every year. It's like a broken record. Why do we have to honor them? What did they really do for us? I just don't get it. Did you know that Memorial Day was originally called Decoration Day and was established after the Civil War to honor Union and Confederate soldiers who died in battle?

I don't get why we have to do this every year. It's like, we already know they died, why do we have to keep talking about it? This is just gonna make me feel sad for no reason. #confused #dontgetit The long term affects of this are unclear and may not have a significant impact on me personally.
