The U.S. Capitol Historical Society will honor former Representative Patrick McHenry (R-NC) for his dignified service and commitment to the institution of Congress when he served as acting Speaker Pro Tempore during an especially tumultuous time in the 118th Congress. Mr. McHenry’s calm leadership following the first ever removal of a Speaker by vote of the House earned him our highest honor.
