Immigrants who are following the rules and showing up to immigration court risk walking into a trap set by the Trump administration. This is not justice. This is punishment. That’s why I introduced the SHIELD Act: to help ensure immigrants, including young children, can obtain legal counsel, no matter their ability to pay.
