We need a national conversation about gun violence

Those of us at the dinner on Saturday were made safe because of the large number of dedicated Secret Service agents and other law enforcement officials tasked with securing the venue. But what about the tens of thousands of Americans who are subject to gun violence at work, the movies, the grocery store, on college campuses and at school? We need a national conversation about the common-sense gun law reforms favored by the vast majority of our people.
