Video Description
Last night, I took to the House floor to mark the 5th anniversary of the January 6 attack on our Capitol. The House Judiciary Committee recently released the transcript of their interview with Special Counsel Jack Smith, who investigated and indicted Donald Trump for his role in the January 6 insurrection. Smith concluded that Trump was the “most culpable and most responsible person in the criminal conspiracy to overturn the results of the 2020 election” As Trump pardons violent January 6 rioters, we must not forget that day and remain vigilant against any future attempts—by Trump or anyone else—to subvert our democracy.
