The Constitution forbids presidents from accepting gifts “of any kind whatever” from foreign states or kings without Congressional consent.   But Trump wants to accept a $400 million “flying palace” from the Qatari royals, with American taxpayers then stuck footing the bill to retrofit it for U.S. security standards.   That’s why Rep. Jamie Raskin and House Judiciary Democrats have filed a resolution requiring Trump to submit this entire “Bribe Force One” scheme to Congress for scrutiny and consent, just as the Constitution demands.
