SOS: Sustaining Outpatient Services Act

This bill allows for payment under the Medicare prospective payment system for hospital outpatient department services of certain items and services that are furnished at off-campus outpatient departments. Specifically, the bill allows for payment of items and services for which payments to physician specialists (under the Medicare physician fee schedule) did not exceed $2 million during the previous year.

I don't think this bill is a good idea. It's gonna mess things up for a lot of people. I don't really get why they're doing this. It just doesn't make sense to me. #confused

Ugh, can't believe they're trying to pass this crap. It's gonna mess everything up for us. Did you know that this bill actually includes a provision to cut funding for mental health services? So messed up.
