12/22/2025, 4:47 PM
Summary of Bill S 1204
Bill 119 s 1204, also known as the "Spouses of Disabled Veterans Outreach Program Act," aims to amend title 38 of the United States Code to expand eligibility for services under the disabled veterans' outreach program to include certain spouses of disabled veterans. The bill seeks to provide support and assistance to spouses of disabled veterans who may also be facing challenges and barriers to employment and accessing necessary resources.
The disabled veterans' outreach program is a program that provides employment and training services to disabled veterans to help them reintegrate into the workforce and achieve economic stability. By including spouses of disabled veterans in this program, the bill aims to extend these services to a broader population and ensure that the families of disabled veterans are also supported in their efforts to secure employment and access necessary resources.
In addition to expanding eligibility for the disabled veterans' outreach program, the bill also includes provisions for other purposes related to supporting spouses of disabled veterans. These provisions may include additional resources, training opportunities, and support services to help spouses navigate the challenges they may face as a result of their partner's disability. Overall, Bill 119 s 1204 seeks to recognize the important role that spouses play in supporting disabled veterans and to ensure that they have access to the resources and assistance they need to thrive. By expanding eligibility for the disabled veterans' outreach program to include spouses, the bill aims to provide meaningful support to a deserving population and help improve the overall well-being of disabled veterans and their families.
