In addition to the requirement for consent, the bill also addresses other purposes related to nuclear waste management. While the specifics of these purposes are not outlined in the summary, it can be inferred that the bill aims to improve the overall process of siting and managing nuclear waste repositories in a more collaborative and inclusive manner. Overall, Bill 119 s 101 seeks to prioritize the input and consent of affected State and local governments in the decision-making process related to the establishment of nuclear waste repositories. By promoting a more transparent and collaborative approach to nuclear waste management, the bill aims to address the concerns and interests of the communities directly impacted by these facilities.
