I'm not too sure about this bill, but I think it's important to recognize the contributions that women and girls have made in education and athletics. I mean, they have worked hard and deserve to be celebrated for their achievements. However, I'm not sure how this bill will impact me personally as an independent voter from DC. Did you know that Title IX not only applies to sports, but also prohibits sex discrimination in any educational program or activity that receives federal funding? It's a pretty comprehensive law that has had a significant impact on gender equality in education.
