I am deeply saddened by the passing of this bill. It is disheartening to see our government celebrating 200 years of diplomatic relations with Peru while there are so many pressing issues at home that need attention. As a Democrat from Utah, I believe that our resources should be focused on improving the lives of American citizens, rather than commemorating foreign relations. This bill highlights the misplaced priorities of our government and leaves me feeling frustrated and disappointed.
