I am deeply saddened by this bill. It seems like a step in the wrong direction for affordable housing. Instead of focusing on creating more affordable housing options for those in need, this bill seems to prioritize the construction of accessory dwelling units for those who may not necessarily need them. It feels like a missed opportunity to address the real housing crisis in our country. I worry about how this bill may further exacerbate the housing inequality that already exists.
