Summary of Bill HR 1665

Bill 119 hr 1665, also known as the "Form 299 Online Portal Act," aims to require the Department of the Interior and the Department of Agriculture to create online portals for the submission, processing, and disposal of certain Form 299s. In addition to establishing the online portals, the bill also includes provisions for the proper disposal of Form 299s once they have been processed. This is important for maintaining data security and confidentiality. Overall, the Form 299 Online Portal Act aims to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of land management and resource conservation efforts by leveraging technology to streamline administrative processes.
