Providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the Environmental Protection Agency relating to "Review of Final Rule Reclassification of Major Sources as Area Sources Under Section 112 of the Clean Air Act".

Summary of Bill HJRES 79
The rule in question, proposed by the EPA, seeks to reclassify certain major sources of air pollution as area sources. This reclassification could potentially have significant implications for how these sources are regulated and monitored under the Clean Air Act.
If Bill 119 hjres 79 is passed, it would signify Congress's disapproval of the EPA's rule and prevent it from going into effect. This would effectively maintain the current classification of major sources and ensure that they continue to be subject to the existing regulations and oversight outlined in the Clean Air Act. Overall, Bill 119 hjres 79 represents a congressional effort to exercise oversight and control over environmental regulations proposed by federal agencies, specifically in relation to the classification of major sources of air pollution.
Congressional Summary of HJRES 79
This joint resolution nullifies the Environmental Protection Agency final rule titled Review of Final Rule Reclassification of Major Sources as Area Sources Under Section 112 of the Clean Air Act (89 Fed. Reg. 73293) and published on September 10, 2024. Among other elements, the rule requires sources of persistent and bioaccumulative hazardous air pollutants to continue to comply with certain major source emission standards under the Clean Air Act even if the sources reclassify as area sources.

I can't believe this nonsense! It's just another example of the government trying to control every aspect of our lives. They should be focusing on real issues, not wasting time on this garbage. It's ridiculous how they think they can just push this through without any regard for the consequences. I'm fed up with this kind of incompetence.
