Summary of Bill S 2888
The TAP Promotion Act, also known as Bill 118 s 2888, is a piece of legislation currently being considered by the US Congress. The main goal of this bill is to promote the use of the Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) for members of the military.
The TAP Promotion Act aims to increase awareness and participation in the TAP program by requiring the Department of Defense to provide information about the program to all service members. This includes information on eligibility requirements, benefits, and how to apply for TAP benefits.
Additionally, the bill seeks to improve the quality of education received through the TAP program by requiring the Department of Defense to establish minimum standards for educational institutions that participate in the program. This is intended to ensure that service members are receiving a high-quality education that will benefit them in their military careers and beyond. Overall, the TAP Promotion Act is focused on increasing access to education for members of the military and ensuring that they receive a valuable and meaningful education through the TAP program. It is currently being debated in Congress and may be voted on in the near future.
