Summary of Bill S 2413

Bill 118 s 2413, also known as the Regulatory Improvement and Transparency Act (RINA), aims to streamline and improve the regulatory process within the US Congress. The bill was introduced by Senator John Smith and has garnered bipartisan support.

The main goal of RINA is to increase transparency and accountability in the regulatory process by requiring federal agencies to provide detailed justifications for new regulations. This includes conducting cost-benefit analyses and considering the impact on small businesses and the economy.

Additionally, RINA seeks to reduce unnecessary regulatory burdens on businesses and individuals by requiring agencies to periodically review existing regulations and eliminate those that are outdated or no longer necessary. This is intended to promote economic growth and job creation by removing barriers to innovation and entrepreneurship. Furthermore, RINA includes provisions to enhance public participation in the regulatory process by requiring agencies to solicit feedback from stakeholders and consider public comments before finalizing regulations. This is aimed at ensuring that regulations are responsive to the needs and concerns of the American people. Overall, Bill 118 s 2413, RINA, represents a bipartisan effort to improve the regulatory process in the US Congress by increasing transparency, accountability, and public participation. If passed, this bill has the potential to promote economic growth, job creation, and innovation by reducing unnecessary regulatory burdens on businesses and individuals.
