Summary of Bill S 1093

Bill 118 s 1093, also known as the Hawaii Air Tour Management Act of 2023, aims to regulate air tours in the state of Hawaii. The bill seeks to address concerns related to noise pollution, safety, and the impact of air tours on the environment and local communities.

Additionally, the bill includes provisions for the establishment of designated air tour routes and altitudes, as well as requirements for operators to adhere to certain flight patterns and schedules. This is intended to reduce the overall impact of air tours on the environment and local communities, while still allowing for the tourism industry to thrive. Overall, the Hawaii Air Tour Management Act of 2023 seeks to strike a balance between promoting tourism and protecting the natural beauty and tranquility of Hawaii. By implementing regulations and guidelines for air tour operators, the bill aims to ensure that these tours are conducted in a responsible and sustainable manner.
