The SAFEGUARD Act of 2023, also known as Bill 118 s 1025, is a piece of legislation currently being considered by the US Congress. The main goal of this bill is to enhance the security and protection of critical infrastructure in the United States.

The SAFEGUARD Act proposes several key measures to achieve this goal. This center would be responsible for coordinating efforts to protect critical infrastructure from cyber attacks, physical threats, and other risks.

Additionally, the bill includes provisions to improve information sharing between the government and private sector entities responsible for critical infrastructure. This would help to ensure that relevant threat information is quickly disseminated and acted upon to prevent potential attacks. Furthermore, the SAFEGUARD Act seeks to enhance the resilience of critical infrastructure by promoting the adoption of best practices and standards for security measures. This would help to reduce vulnerabilities and mitigate the impact of potential attacks. Overall, the SAFEGUARD Act of 2023 aims to strengthen the security of critical infrastructure in the United States through improved coordination, information sharing, and resilience measures. It is currently under review in Congress and may undergo further revisions before potentially becoming law.
