Summary of Bill HR 2413

Bill 118 hr 2413, also known as the Dental Care for Veterans Act, was introduced in the US Congress with the aim of expanding dental care services for veterans. The bill seeks to improve access to dental care for veterans who are currently not eligible for such services through the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

The key provisions of the bill include the establishment of a pilot program that would provide dental care to veterans who do not qualify for VA dental benefits. This program would be implemented in at least five VA medical centers across the country, with the goal of assessing the feasibility and effectiveness of expanding dental care services to a larger population of veterans.

Additionally, the bill calls for the VA to conduct a study on the impact of providing dental care to veterans on their overall health and well-being. This study would evaluate the potential benefits of expanding dental care services to all veterans, regardless of their eligibility for VA dental benefits. Overall, the Dental Care for Veterans Act aims to address the gaps in dental care services for veterans and improve their access to essential oral health care. By expanding dental care services through the VA, the bill seeks to improve the overall health and well-being of veterans across the country.
