Summary of Bill HR 183
Bill 118 hr 183, also known as the "Accountability and Transparency in Executive Orders Act," aims to increase oversight and transparency in the process of issuing executive orders by the President of the United States. The bill requires the President to provide a detailed explanation of the reasoning behind each executive order, including any potential impacts on the economy, national security, or other important issues.
Additionally, the bill mandates that all executive orders be published on a publicly accessible website within 24 hours of being issued. This will allow the American public to easily access and review the content of each executive order, promoting accountability and ensuring that the President's actions are transparent to all.
Furthermore, the bill establishes a bipartisan commission to review and evaluate the impact of executive orders on the American people and the government. This commission will provide recommendations to Congress on how to improve the executive order process and ensure that future executive orders are in the best interest of the country. Overall, Bill 118 hr 183 seeks to hold the President accountable for their actions and increase transparency in the executive order process, ultimately benefiting the American people and promoting good governance.
