Bill 118 hr 1589, also known as the Tribal Nutrition Improvement Act of 2023, aims to address the issue of food insecurity and poor nutrition in Native American communities. The bill recognizes the unique challenges faced by tribal communities in accessing healthy and affordable food options.

By expanding and improving this program, the bill aims to ensure that tribal members have access to a consistent and reliable source of healthy food. Overall, the Tribal Nutrition Improvement Act of 2023 is a comprehensive effort to address the nutritional needs of Native American communities and promote health and wellness among tribal members. It recognizes the importance of culturally appropriate food options and seeks to empower tribes to take control of their own nutrition and well-being.
