Summary of Bill HR 10139

Bill 118 hr 10139, also known as the Renewable Electricity Standard Act, aims to amend title VI of the Public Utility Regulatory Policies Act of 1978 to establish a Federal renewable electricity standard for retail electricity suppliers. In addition to establishing the Federal renewable electricity standard, the bill also includes provisions for monitoring and enforcement to ensure compliance by retail electricity suppliers. This will help to track progress towards meeting the renewable energy goals set forth in the legislation. I think this bill is really good for our country because it will help us move towards more renewable energy sources. This is important because it will help us reduce our dependence on fossil fuels and help protect the environment. I am excited to see how this bill will impact our future and I hope it will create more job opportunities in the renewable energy sector. This is a step in the right direction for our country and I am proud to support it.

I can't believe this new bill is gonna make me pay more for my electricity! Why should I have to foot the bill for renewable energy when I'm just trying to make ends meet? This is gonna hit my wallet hard, and I'm not happy about it at all. Why can't they come up with a better solution that doesn't hurt regular folks like me? This is just not fair.
