The bill also includes provisions to support the development of new technologies and strategies for preventing and mitigating HABs. Overall, the goal of the Combat Harmful Algal Blooms Act is to protect water quality, safeguard public health, and preserve the health of aquatic ecosystems by addressing the growing threat of harmful algal blooms in the United States.
