12/29/2022, 1:48 PM
Summary of Bill HR 9354
Bill 117 hr 9354, also known as the Veterans Homecare Choice Act of 2022, is a piece of legislation currently being considered by the US Congress. The main goal of this bill is to expand access to home care services for veterans who are unable to travel to receive care at a VA facility.
If passed, the bill would allow eligible veterans to receive home care services through the VA, including assistance with activities of daily living, skilled nursing care, and other necessary medical services. This would provide veterans with more flexibility and convenience in receiving the care they need, especially for those who may have difficulty traveling to a VA facility due to health or mobility issues.
Additionally, the bill aims to improve coordination between the VA and other home care providers to ensure that veterans receive high-quality, timely care in their own homes. This would help to address some of the challenges that veterans may face in accessing and navigating the complex healthcare system. Overall, the Veterans Homecare Choice Act of 2022 seeks to enhance the quality of care and support available to veterans who require home care services, while also promoting greater independence and dignity for those who have served our country.
