Bill 117 HR 8274, also known as the Protecting America's Security and Sovereignty Act of 2022 (PASS Act), is a piece of legislation currently being considered by the US Congress. The main goal of this bill is to enhance border security and immigration enforcement in order to protect the safety and sovereignty of the United States.
The PASS Act includes several key provisions aimed at achieving this goal. The bill also calls for increased surveillance technology and resources to monitor and secure the border.
In addition to enhancing border security, the PASS Act also includes provisions to strengthen immigration enforcement within the United States. This includes measures to crack down on illegal immigration, such as increasing penalties for individuals who overstay their visas or enter the country illegally. The bill also includes provisions to improve the vetting process for visa applicants and enhance cooperation between federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies in enforcing immigration laws. Overall, the PASS Act is aimed at bolstering national security and protecting the sovereignty of the United States by enhancing border security and immigration enforcement measures. The bill is currently being debated in Congress, and its ultimate fate will depend on the support it receives from lawmakers in both the House and the Senate.
