The bill proposes several key initiatives to achieve this goal. It calls for the establishment of a grant program to fund scholarships, internships, and other opportunities for underrepresented minority students in STEM fields. Additionally, the bill aims to increase access to STEM education and resources for these students, as well as provide support for mentoring and professional development. Furthermore, the Supporting Diverse STEM Students Act seeks to promote diversity and inclusion in STEM by encouraging collaboration between educational institutions, industry partners, and government agencies. This includes efforts to increase representation of underrepresented minority groups in STEM-related research and workforce development programs.
