Summary of Bill HR 5157
Bill 117 HR 5157, also known as the Direct Primary Care for America Act, is a piece of legislation introduced in the US Congress. The purpose of this bill is to expand access to primary care services for Americans by allowing individuals to enter into direct primary care agreements with primary care practitioners.
Under this bill, individuals would be able to pay a monthly fee to a primary care practitioner in exchange for unlimited access to primary care services. This would eliminate the need for insurance companies to be involved in the payment process for primary care services, allowing for more direct and affordable care for patients.
The Direct Primary Care for America Act aims to reduce the administrative burden on primary care practitioners and increase their ability to focus on providing quality care to their patients. By allowing for direct payment agreements between patients and practitioners, this bill seeks to improve the overall quality of primary care services in the United States. Overall, the Direct Primary Care for America Act is a bipartisan effort to improve access to primary care services for Americans and streamline the payment process for these services. It is currently being considered by Congress and has the potential to have a significant impact on the healthcare system in the United States.
