No Fly for Illegals Act
12/31/2022, 5:05 AM
Summary of Bill HR 4630
Bill 117 HR 4630, also known as the No Fly for Illegals Act, is a piece of legislation currently being considered by the US Congress. The main purpose of this bill is to prevent individuals who are in the United States illegally from boarding commercial flights within the country.
If passed, the No Fly for Illegals Act would require airlines to cross-reference their passenger lists with the Department of Homeland Security's database of known illegal immigrants. If a match is found, the individual would be prohibited from boarding the flight.
Supporters of the bill argue that it is necessary for national security reasons, as allowing illegal immigrants to fly within the country could pose a threat to public safety. They also believe that it is important to enforce immigration laws and prevent those who are in the country illegally from freely traveling around the country. Opponents of the bill, however, argue that it unfairly targets a specific group of people and could lead to racial profiling and discrimination. They also argue that it is unnecessary, as there are already measures in place to prevent individuals who are in the country illegally from traveling internationally. Overall, the No Fly for Illegals Act is a controversial piece of legislation that raises important questions about immigration policy and national security. It remains to be seen whether or not it will be passed by Congress and signed into law.
