12/31/2022, 5:07 AM
Summary of Bill HR 4400
Bill 117 HR 4400, also known as the Burn Pit Registry Expansion Act, is a piece of legislation introduced in the US Congress. The purpose of this bill is to expand the current Burn Pit Registry, which was established to track and monitor the health effects of exposure to burn pits on military personnel and veterans.
The Burn Pit Registry was created in response to concerns about the health risks associated with exposure to burn pits, which are used to dispose of waste materials on military bases in Iraq and Afghanistan. The registry allows individuals who have been exposed to these burn pits to document their exposure and any resulting health issues.
The Burn Pit Registry Expansion Act seeks to expand the registry to include additional information, such as the location and duration of exposure to burn pits, as well as any health conditions that may have resulted from this exposure. This expansion will provide a more comprehensive understanding of the health effects of burn pit exposure and help to better support and care for affected individuals. Overall, the Burn Pit Registry Expansion Act aims to improve the tracking and monitoring of the health effects of burn pit exposure on military personnel and veterans, and to ensure that those who have been affected receive the necessary support and care.
