12/30/2022, 5:47 PM
Summary of Bill HR 3814
The UNSHACKLE Act, also known as Bill 117 hr 3814, is a piece of legislation currently being considered by the US Congress. The main goal of this bill is to promote economic growth and job creation by reducing regulations on businesses and streamlining the permitting process for infrastructure projects.
One key aspect of the UNSHACKLE Act is the establishment of a Regulatory Improvement Commission, which would be tasked with identifying and recommending regulations that should be repealed or modified to reduce burdens on businesses. This commission would conduct a comprehensive review of existing regulations and make recommendations to Congress on how to improve the regulatory environment for businesses.
Additionally, the UNSHACKLE Act aims to streamline the permitting process for infrastructure projects by establishing a Permitting Improvement Center within the Department of Commerce. This center would work to expedite the permitting process for major infrastructure projects, such as highways, bridges, and energy facilities, in order to promote economic growth and job creation. Overall, the UNSHACKLE Act is focused on reducing regulatory burdens on businesses and promoting economic growth through streamlined permitting processes for infrastructure projects. Supporters of the bill argue that these measures will help to stimulate the economy and create more job opportunities for American workers.
