Respect for the Second Amendment Act
This bill prohibits enforcement of any federal, state, or local law that restricts or otherwise regulates privately owned firearms or ammunition, unless it is consistent with the historical tradition of firearm regulation in the United States. The bill allows the Department of Justice to bring civil actions and creates a private right of action for violations.
