Congressional Summary of HRES 763

This resolution (1) recognizes the harmful effects of income inequality and poverty; and (2) expresses support for the development of a national strategic plan to end deep poverty, which is defined as an income below half of the federal poverty level. It also acknowledges the role of the federal government and the contributions of science in understanding and generating solutions to address deep poverty.
