Promoting Fair and Effective Policing Through Research Act

This bill provides for the establishment of grants and programs to support research on the causes, consequences, and mitigation of police violence; develop standards for biometric identification systems and other advanced policing tools; test biometric identification technologies; and reduce the use of force by law enforcement officers.
